Worldwide Vegan Climate March

Group photo at the St. Louis Arch as part of our first Vegan Climate March, which attracted 12 vegan animal rights activists from in and around St. Louis

Join us as we march for a sustainable, plant-based future free from the environmental devastation caused by animal agriculture!

As part of this global day of action, we will champion the Plant Based Treaty, a first-of-its-kind international treaty that puts food systems at the forefront of combating the climate crisis. The Plant Based Treaty aims to:

  1. Halt the widespread degradation of critical ecosystems caused by animal agriculture

  2. Promote a shift to more healthy, sustainable plant-based diets

  3. Actively reverse damage done to planetary functions, ecosystem services, and biodiversity

We will use this march to urge scientists, individuals, groups, businesses, and cities to endorse this call to action, in turn pressuring national governments to negotiate an international Plant Based Treaty.

Why? Animal agriculture accounts for more greenhouse gas emissions than every mode of transportation on Earth combined. There is therefore no way to achieve climate justice without addressing the cow in the room.
