FreedomFest began as a dream. Two years later, we are now transforming that dream into reality.
Why FreedomFest?
Animal rights remains the pariah of the social justice community. Yet nonhuman animals are some of the most oppressed beings in existence, and they outnumber human animals by the trillions. By bringing together organizations from across the social justice spectrum, we hope to not only correct this deficit, but also inspire thousands of vegans to take a more intersectional approach to social justice.
How?
FreedomFest will unite activists from across the social justice spectrum into one common forum for the mutual realization of more-than-human and human animal liberation. Our goal is to increase the prominence of animal justice in other social justice spheres, as well as strengthen the ties between racial, economic, gender, reproductive, environmental, and animal justice more generally.
