Plant Power: Powering the Plant-Based Fast Food Revolution!

A fresh and innovative 100%-vegan fast food joint—Plant Power—is poised to become the future of fast food.

In 2016, Mitch Wallis, Zach Vouga, and Jeffrey Harris founded the plant-based fast food chain, Plant Power, in San Diego, California. There are currently nine restaurant locations in California with two more locations, one in Las Vegas and another in Hollywood, opening soon. Plant Power envisions a world where vegan fast food is accessible to every American, and they are working to expand nationwide in pursuit of this transformative vision. In fact, this groundbreaking company plans to open a total of 14 locations by the end of June, 2022.

As a 100%-vegan fast food restaurant, Plant Power’s goal is “to remove as many animals from the plate as possible.” The restaurant resembles a mix of other fast food restaurants, from McDonald’s to Shake Shack. They have created a huge menu—ranging from burgers to sandwiches, wings, wraps, fries, nuggets, shakes, and much more—that caters to everyone.

Plant Power power locations are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week, making their food highly accessible. From 7-11 a.m., they serve their breakfast menu, allowing customers to choose from different breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and burritos.

The Big Mac has met its match!

Plant Power’s answer to McDonald’s Big Mac, their legendary vegan Big Zac Burger, is featured to the left. Composed of two “beefy” patties, vegan styled American cheeze, fresh shredded lettuce, chopped onion, pickles, and their own house special sauce, their Big Zac Burger is a sight to behold. The patties are high in protein, low in fat, and made with beans, carrots, ground oats, quinoa, walnuts, and an assortment of spices.
