Are you an activist struggling with burnout? Is compassion fatigue slowly gnawing your soul away? Or do you just want to explore meditation as a healthy way to relax, destress, and improve your overall mental wellbeing? Then join us for our first-ever Meditation for Activists session!
As part of this three-part event, Hailey Dixon, a seasoned activist turned meditation teacher, will guide you through the importance of meditation for activists, explaining the many benefits you can experience through regular, mindful meditation. She will then teach you the skills you need to meditate by conducting a group meditation session. Finally, she will invite you to ask questions and seek advice for becoming a more effective meditator and maximizing the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits you experience from meditation.
ABOUT HAILEY:
Hailey Dixon is a vegan chef and activist turned meditation teacher. She spends most of her time running a whole food, plant-based café called Brightside Kitchen, hanging out with her companion animals, and transporting rescued farm animals to sanctuaries across the country with her best friend in an effort called "Two Girls One Truck." Throughout the years, dabbling in many forms of activism, it became apparent that showing up for oneself is just as important as showing up for the animals, people, and the planet. Hailey stumbled onto a path that introduced her to meditation and soon felt called to share this practice with others, especially fellow activists. Through a science-backed meditation teacher training program she has learned many techniques to help others ease into meditation and incorporate a beneficial meditation practice into their everyday lives. She looks forward to sharing space with you all and guiding you on a relaxing and reinvigorating guided meditation practice!
