Lush Cosmetics: Affordable, Cruelty-Free Luxury!

In 1995, the British cosmetic retailer, Mark Constantine, founded Lush Cosmetics because he wanted to bring more delightful, cruelty-free cosmetics to the marketplace. Since then, Lush has launched over 900 stores globally, producing handmade, additive-free, 100%-vegetarian products that dazzle everyone, vegan and nonvegan alike.

Lush cosmetics is deeply committed to their vegetarian philosophy, and they adamantly oppose any and all animal testing, just one of many selling points that distinguishes them from less socially oriented brands. Lush further believes no animal deserves to suffer unnecessarily for food, clothing, or any other purpose. In alignment with their pro-animal philosophy, Lush refuses to purchase materials from companies that use animal testing or that fail to reduce the waste associated with their manufacturing. Customers can even return black and clear-colored Lush containers for Lush to recycle and reuse in future products.

Lush is a socially minded company that heavily supports social justice activism. They advocate for human rights, animal protection, and environmental justice. For many years, Lush has also organized ethical campaigns and summits where people can propose campaigns, debate pressing social issues, and discuss opportunities for social change. In addition to using their platform to advocate for social justice, Lush shines a light on more fine-grained issues as well. Currently, Lush is working to ban trophy hunting, advance trans rights, and address racial disparities in our society. Lush firmly believes it is their responsibility to advocate for animals, the environment, and those in need, whoever or wherever they are.

To realize their socially conscious mission, Lush sells a wide range of luxurious products, from skin care masks to soap bars, bath bombs, and much more. Their bath bombs are fresh, colorful, and fragrant on impact, and they even sell their own line of “Charity Pot” lotions, a skin softener that has a velvety feel and a slight floral scent. Lush reinvests 100% of the profits from Charity Pot sales to grassroots organizations fighting for environmental, racial, socioeconomic, LGBTQIA+, and animal justice.

Feel at peace with the universe!

Invigorating and beautiful, Lush's Intergalactic bath bomb is a fun trip. It is made with fresh peppermint that is tempered with rogue layers of vetiver and cedarwood, which leaves you rejuvenated and loose. Yellow, pink, and blue swirls surround you astronomically, and a trace of sparkle bestows a slight sheen on your skin. Customers rave that the Intergalactic bath bomb is one of the most gorgeous bath bombs they have ever purchased, with the glitter leaving a subtle shimmer and the herbal scent of crisp peppermint allowing them to feel relaxed.
