WashU Leafleting Field Trip!

  • Danforth University Center 6475 Forsyth Boulevard St. Louis, MO, 63105 United States (map)

Join our #CompassionateCampusesCampaign as we distribute visually stunning, high-impact leaflets at WashU, one of the largest universities in all Missouri with over 15,000 students! This is our opportunity to influence future mothers and fathers, teachers and nonprofit leaders, and professors and professionals of every type, in turn helping build the vegan world we not only so desperately crave, but all so rightfully deserve!

DETAILS:

We will meet at 11 a.m. along Forsyth between Big Bend and N. Skinker Blvd near the intersection of Forsyth and Wallace Drive. You can view our approximate meeting spot via the following link: https://goo.gl/maps/nnA4VSvggVvdGBK98. Leaflets will be provided. We welcome anyone and everyone to join us whenever they can; you can participate in this event without staying the whole time, and you can join us later in the day or leave before this outreach opportunity ends at 2 p.m., per the demands of your schedule. Peak student traffic lasts from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. During this time, we will need at least three or four leafleters at all times to make sure we reach our goal of distributing 600 leaflets within just three hours.

WHY LEAFLET?

While leafleting may not be the most glorified form of activism, studies have shown time and time again it is one of the most tried and true methods of effecting meaningful social change for our nonhuman animal compatriots; each leaflet we distribute will spare roughly one animal from a lifetime of misery according to research conducted by several leading animal rights organizations, from The Humane League to Vegan Outreach. More excitingly still, college students are considerably more likely to modify their dietary habits in light of the information we share with them, making our outreach even more high-impact. What other form of outreach enables you to spare one animal from a lifetime of suffering in exchange for just a few seconds of your time and seven cents worth of printed material?

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:

Please wear a face mask that covers your mouth and nose at all times during the event, and do your best to practice social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
