Six days to go before our Circus Fantastic protest!
Join us as we protest Circus Fantastic, a show that exploits elephants, tigers, and ponies. Training these animals to perform often involves protracted cruelty, serious injuries, and extended isolation; in fact, animals at circuses can spend up to 96% of their lives living in small travel cages. Their natural desires are subverted for a lifetime of servitude while amused audiences fail to realize the suffering behind each circus act. This protest is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness about the hardships nonhuman animals endure at the hands of the circus entertainment industry as well as call for human-only circuses that no longer abuse our nonhuman brothers, sisters, and xesters.
DETAILS:
For those wish to carpool from St. Louis, we will meet at 4 p.m. at the Luzynski residence (text Kyle at 314-740-0436 for the address). We will then depart promptly for a two-hour drive to Cape Girardeau where the circus is taking place. From 6-8 p.m., we will raise signs as guests enter the premises of the A.C. Brase Arena. We will then pack up and return home for the evening.
