This Valentine’s Day, we united nearly 50 people!

Following a strong marketing campaign, we received 91 registrations for our first annual Midwest Vegan Speed Dating extravaganza! Just over half these people elected to swallow their anxiety, take their chances, and connect with vegans from across the Midwest. Despite a few technical issues, almost everyone enjoyed themselves, and the overall experience was deeply heartwarming; many of our participants had never participated in a speed dating event, yet alone one that featured all and only vegans!

For this unique, first-of-its-kind event, we were joined by Karine Charbonneau, AKA Vegan Cupid, of findveglove.com fame. Karine is a vegan matchmaker and dating coach who has been helping vegan singles find love for 10 years. She works with committed veg singles who are ready to go ALL-in, fall in love with themselves, and get the relationship of their dreams—without the dating apps. She does this by leveraging her network of 40,000+ singles from across North America and by teaching unconventional ways to create a true, lasting connection. Watch her FREE Cupid Class, 5 Reasons Why Your Long-Term Relationship Hasn’t Happened, And What To Do Now today! You should also join her FREE Veg Love Vault to maximize your chances of finding your long-awaited vegan sweetheart.

We also had the privilege of being joined by Alex from Veggly. Veggly is a free dating app for vegans and vegetarians that not only kindly co-sponsored this event, but also placed free ads about this event on their app. Find, Veg-Match, and chat with vegetarians and vegans near you and seek out a new relationship in the growing world of plant-based living! Too good to be true? Check out the testimonials on their website to get inspired by people who used Veggly and met their Veg-Matches!

Finally, we had the good fortune to be featured by Vegan Life Magazine for this event, marking the first time Project Animal Freedom has ever been covered a vegan news outlet. You can view their article about us here.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us this year and made this event so warm, uplifting, and enjoyable; each one of you is an incredible person deserving of their chance at vegan romance! Over 500 matches were made and dozens of lasting friendships forged. Thank you all for your support; we hope to make this event even bigger and better next year!
